This was a brilliant holiday. The accommodation was superb - the best of any cycling trip I've had in Europe. The routes were well chosen with a mix of off road and on road. We would recommend this holiday to anyone interested in beautiful countryside and fine food. We only wish it was longer! Read full reviewReviewed on 18 Jun 2024 by Gillian Chapman
Wonderful! We got a particularly warm welcome from Carmen, and from Clara. The cycling was memorable in many ways: beautiful countryside, great weather, and I felt I had achieved a lot - great exercise. The accommodation was superb and the quality of the food on offer was excellent. Read full reviewReviewed on 23 Aug 2024 by Sharon Ramel
The amazing accommodation and food. Thank you Carmen for going out of your way to help us. We needed the tour moved back two days to fit in with our flight and she came through for us. Great little tour around a part of Sweden we had not visited before. Read full reviewResponsible Travel

All our trips are about enjoying and experiencing the natural and cultural beauty of the region, in a respectful and considerate way. Our trips are only run with small groups, most often from two people to six people, to ensure that impact on the environment is a minimum at all times, and the most personal and rich experience can be had by all.We are a member of the Svenska Ekoturismföreningen (Swedish Ecotourism Association) which works towards an improved tourism which protects and takes responsibility for our delicate natural and cultural environment. Our company beliefs reflect this vision.
As our trips are self-guided, we make extra efforts to provide travellers with as much information about the local area as possible, including information about bird, animal and plantlife as well as historical and cultural information. Look out for roaming red deer, fallow deer, red squirrels and the king of the forest, the moose. Birds of prey are plentiful in the region and eagles and osprey can often be seen soaring overhead. This ensures that, even without a guide, we can inform travellers about the region. With additional knowledge, travellers can go one step further to protecting the environment.
Each of our accommodation choices, Trosa Stadshotell & Spa, Runnviken Pensionat & Sund Nergården are committed to protecting the environment and cutting the use of single use plastic. Trosa Stadshotell for example take their environmental responsibility down to the last detail and even their takeaway coffee cups have paper lids.
We take responsibility of ensuring that rubbish is handled accordingly, both in the countryside and in the office, with a developed sorting system. Use of paper is spared with all marketing made online to avoid the production of own brochures. Travellers are encouraged to recycle as much literature as possible that they are provided with at the start of the trip.
Cycling puts little stress on the environment and allows you to appreciate the surroundings in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way as you follow small trails through Sörmland.
Guests are encouraged to use the public bus service between Trosa & Stockholm to avoid individual transfers.

We wholeheartedly support the local economy - our guests want to experience the genuine region in which they are travelling, and our aim is to let it be seen and enjoyed.Encounters with the locals is a fundamental aspect of our trips, and we therefore make all efforts to use suppliers from the area. With this aim in mind, we prefer to use accommodation that is smaller and more personal allowing an insight into the local community, including personal B&Bs such as Sund Nergården, Runnviken Pensionat and the family run Trosa Stadshotell & Spa. Our aim is always to promote and support the local community.
Each of the accommodation choices will immerse you in the real Sweden in terms of lifestyle, atmosphere and local produce. Thanks to the commitments and passion from our suppliers our guests are welcomed with a genuine experience of Sweden.
Our trips would quite simply not be the same without the support of the local community.
All meals are included in this trip and the kitchen in each of our accommodation choices strives to source ingredients from local suppliers, preferably from local Sörmland farms. Menus reflect the season all of which help to ensure that produce is travelling as short a distance as possible. Runnviken Pensionat prides itself on growing many of its own ingredients, keeping food miles to an absolute minimum.
