1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Ha Long Bay was stunning. The Ninh Binh homestay was fab, a real rustic experience. I also really enjoyed the experience of travelling on the overnight coach with sleeping compartments.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Enjoy and go with the flow and don't forget insect repellent.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

A fantastic adventure which I would highly recommend. A very well organised trip.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

We conduct regular environmental reviews of our trips and suppliers to help identify opportunities to improve environmental practices and reduce impacts where possible.

To help reduce the use of single use plastic bottles, refill stations are available at most of our overnight accommodation and many activity locations. Travellers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, and reusable INTRO branded bottles are available to purchase for those who need one.

As part of our Small Change initiative, we support a range of environmental and community focused projects. In 2019, we partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant 10 trees for every booking received. Since late 2023, we have also worked with Path Net Zero to measure the emissions associated with our tours and with Veritree to support verified tree planting projects.

We recognise that tourism can contribute to poor animal welfare practices when experiences are not managed responsibly. That's why we support local animal welfare organisations and work with wildlife experiences that are designed to align with our animal welfare standards. We also care for a number of rescue animals at properties owned by INTRO Travel.

People

We ensure that every trip we run has a direct and positive impact on the local communities we visit. This means that your money is being used to support the local economy, and going direct to those who need it most. Every one of our trips includes a variety of #smallchanges that you’ll get to experience first hand. Mr Op and his family from the Mekong Delta in Vietnam started with humble beginnings and only a couple of bungalows on a small island on the Delta. After 2 years of support from our groups visiting and experiencing how the locals really live there, he’s been able to create enough bungalows for our groups to stay with him and his family on this tiny island on the Delta. Our local guides / legends are the backbone of our operations and a very special part of the family. Several times a year we offer the opportunity for one or more of our local guides to travel to another one of our destinations or choose an experience they may not normally get to do, courtesy of and with love from us.
