Description of Western India tour, Mumbai to New Delhi
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetAs per the itinerary in Mumbai, the guests visit the beautiful Elephanta Caves that are UNESCO world heritage listed. These caves are located on an island. In order to reach the island, one needs to take a boat. We ensure that only the Government registered boat operators are selected who follow necessary safety and environment norms. The government has a check on the emission levels of the motors used in these boats. Also, we encourage our guests to go for sharing boat transfer only as this reduces the overall impact of pollution on fragile environment of Mumbai.
We encourage our guides and drivers to follow a no-litter policy. As a part of Indian Association of Tour Operators, the company through the organisation has been a part of green initiative in Mumbai. This initiative involved creating awareness about overall cleanliness protocols to be followed during a tour. We also engage the services from companies who believe in the R 3 model that is Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse.
One of the prominent vineyards of the region is Sula. The Sula Vineyards follow Zero Liquid Discharge policy thoroughly. They treat each and every unit of wastewater discharged from their plants and utilise the same for various purposes like green area irrigation, staff washroom flushing and much more. We support the Sula Vineyards to achieve the goal that they have set for a better future and healthy environment.
PeopleDuring our activity Mumbai Kebabs and Curry walk tour, we take our guests to various places that give them a glimpse of the local delicacies. We make sure that all the places we take our guests to, are hygienic and follow the food and safety protocols issued by the Government of India. We also make sure to note the various food allergies our guests might have before commencing the tour. During our food tours, we take our guests to places where they can easily eat without any worry. We support vendors who are local, hygienic and passionate about offering unique experiences to their guests. We engage services of such vendors who support their neighbourhood and help the local civic authorities in maintenance and beautification of public spaces and sites of tourist interest. We also support those vendors who take welfare initiatives and provide medical care, essential services and relief in case of any disaster.
We encourage our guests to visit the Sula Vineyards for the Wine Tasting Tour as the amount charged for this tour is utilised for the fulfilment of social and irrigation requirements of the villages within the nearby vicinity of the Vineyard. The company helps the local people with various works like installing underground drainage system at a small village by the name Savargaon which has helped 180 households of that village, installing R.O. (Reverse Osmosis) plant at a village called Govardhan which has helped 350 households of that village, desilting of the village pond to increase the water holding capacity at Jaluka Wani helping 100 households of village, installing R.O plant at the community school at Chekkerre for the students and much more. We support the Sula Vineyards in a small manner by engaging their services and help them create a better future for the upcoming generations.
