Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Our suppliers are focused on improving sustainability and reducing plastic waste. We are working together with them and the local guides to offer refillable water bottles and reduce offers of other single-use items such as wet wipes or straws on a more widespread basis. In addition we are constantly looking to include local businesses which focus on sustainable tourism, be it organic food producers or small scale hand farmed vineyards.
In addition, we use a number of hotels who work with the Refill not Landfill initiative.
The Impacts of this Trip
We’re committed to making your trip have a positive effect on the destination you’re visiting.
What we’re committed to:
Using locally owned, and environmentally and socially responsible, accommodation wherever possible.
Preference for locally owned partners in our destinations, and using local guides and drivers. In Italy local guides are used in even the most remote areas thus creating jobs for local people and giving the visitor an authentic learning experience.
Fair wages and conditions for all staff involved in your trip.
Wild and domestic animal protection alongside broader good environmental practice. We avoid promoting or using any artificial wildlife experience where animals are baited or fed in order to gain closer proximity.
Encouraging community-led initiatives from craft shops to restaurants, home stays to wildlife protection. We support a number of independent restaurants who use locally sourced ingredients from nearby farmers. Preference is made for those suppliers who aim to involve their local communities to share the benefits of tourism.
In addition, we're constantly looking to support a range of on-the-ground charities and projects that work within our destinations.
