We have worked in the wildlife and tourism sector for several years and aim to give travelers opportunities to experience the natural and cultural attractions of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

Throughout the tour, we travel by road in shared vehicles rather than taking internal flights between the two countries. We encourage travelers to reduce waste, reuse items where practical and recycle where facilities are available.

We also encourage travelers to place their waste in the provided bins on the bus, which our team collects and disposes of appropriately.

Several of the hotels we use in Ghana use solar power for part of their electricity. We assist these hotels with setting up solar panels and provide guidance to staff on turning off lights and electrical appliances when they are not being used.

People

Local culture and communities form an integral part of our trips. We encourage travelers to respect the communities they visit and to engage with local businesses and cultural activities during the journey.

For example, at Ntonso, artisans hand-stamp patterns on cotton cloth to make Adinkra textiles. Travelers can learn how these textiles are made and have the opportunity to purchase handcrafted products directly from local artisans. This provides an opportunity for travelers to support local businesses and purchase products made within the community.

We also prefer to use smaller, locally owned businesses wherever possible, including local hotels, campsites and activity providers. This means that travelers' spending can go directly to businesses operating in the communities they visit.

We use local guides and operators throughout the trip. These include operators that provide training and employment opportunities for local people as guides, giving travelers the opportunity to learn about the destinations from people with local knowledge and experience.
