The itineraries we create are guided by three aims: looking after the places we visit, supporting local communities and helping our guests travel responsibly. To do this, we work with a boutique team on the ground who have been running responsible trips since 1994 and share our values.

Visits to protected areas such as Villarrica National Park and Torres del Paine include park entry fees, which help fund the running of the parks. Most activities are on foot, such as walking tours and hikes. Excursions run in small groups, which means fewer vehicles on the road and less pressure on busy sites.

Throughout the trip, local guides explain the landscapes and wildlife you're seeing and share practical tips on how to reduce your impact while you're there.

We choose small, family-owned accommodation wherever possible. At Patagonia Camp, for example, you'll stay in yurts built on raised platforms rather than in permanent buildings.

People

People are at the heart of everything we do. Every year, our local partners train guides in safety, service, local knowledge and responsible travel.

Each transfer and excursion includes certified local guides, which means employment for residents and storytelling rooted in Chilean culture. We choose every experience with care, so you meet local people and places in a genuine way. Around Puerto Varas, for example, the itinerary goes beyond the scenery to include visits to traditional Mapuche Huilliche communities. These visits bring income to the communities and help keep their traditions, crafts and cuisine alive.

Our aim is to design itineraries where the money you spend stays in Chile. The properties are small boutique or family-owned hotels (Noi Blend, Casa Solaria, Cabañas del Lago and Patagonia Camp), so tourism revenue goes into the local economy. We also encourage guests to eat out locally and explore town, supporting small businesses.
