1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The sights and sounds of Istanbul, the emotions of visiting the war memorials and cemeteries in Gallipoli, the magnificent ruins of Troy, Pergamon and Ephesus, the totally awe inspiring Cappadocian landscape from a hot air balloon.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Make sure you know a little about the history of the region (it can get very confusing) and take a good guide book as a back up to the guides who were mainly excellent.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

This is a difficult question mainly due to ingrained issues within Turkey. Amongst other issues the Turkish economy is poor with very high inflation and a lack of tourists due to the world political situation. The country is suffering from a lack of tourism. Consequently we were generous in our tips to hotel staff, guides etc. We did buy a carpet which we're very pleased with and we understand this benefits an educational program for girls in the eastern part of the country towards the Syrian border, an area where girls' education is limited by religion. We did use all forms of public transport in Istanbul, train, tram, ferry, funicular.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This was a trip to celebrate my partners 70th Birthday. It was excellent with a good mix of tourist sites, history, nature and relaxation. Tijen met and surpassed the brief and her suggestions such as the Bosphorus birthday boat trip made a great contribution.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

All of Turkey is remarkable.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Pick good weather so the balloon ride in Cappaducia can happen. Be prepared for food prices to be on high side. Since the Hagia Sophia has become a mosque it is very confusing where the tourists can go and at what times.

Public transportation in Istanbul is fantastic. Cheap and efficient.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely. Food, hotels, shopping all benefited the local economy.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

8 out of 10.

CARBON REDUCTION

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact while creating meaningful and authentic travel experiences across Türkiye.
We operate entirely paperless. No printed vouchers or brochures are used; all travel documentation is shared digitally via email, with a single booking reference covering hotels and tour services.

Wherever possible, we prioritize walking tours and public transportation. In Istanbul and other suitable destinations, we encourage guests to explore on foot or by using local transport. We provide our guests with a complimentary Istanbulkart, which can be used on trams, ferries, buses, and even public facilities. This not only reduces emissions but also allows travelers to experience the city as locals do.

When available, we prioritize shared airport transfers instead of private vehicles, helping to reduce unnecessary carbon emissions.
We also work closely with small, family-run hotels and local partners who actively support sustainable and paperless operations. These partners often implement environmentally conscious practices such as reduced energy consumption and mindful laundry usage.

Our itineraries are designed to encourage longer stays in fewer destinations, minimizing unnecessary transportation. By slowing down travel and focusing on deeper experiences, we naturally reduce carbon footprint while enhancing the overall journey.

ENVIROMENT & WILDLIFE

Responsible travel also means respecting the natural and cultural environment of the destinations we visit.
One of the most unique aspects of Türkiye—particularly Istanbul—is its community of street animals. The cats of Istanbul are cared for collectively by local residents and are a symbol of coexistence and compassion within the city.
We encourage our guests to observe and appreciate this aspect of daily life with respect and sensitivity.
In addition, we actively support local initiatives that help care for and protect street animals, contributing to their wellbeing in a sustainable and ethical way.
We support, work with and contribute to following organizations
Animals (Street Animals of Istanbul )
Environment (TEMA) Education / equality (ÇYDD)
Cultural heritage (UNESCO)
