Description of Peloponnese family activity holiday in Greece
This week long family activity holiday in Greece is a small group tour on the Peloponnese Peninsula, a firm favourite for family adventures. With a wonderful combination of both ancient history and landscapes that invite wonderful experiences in nature, we have designed a trip that has delighted families over the years.
Your accommodation is in luxury apartments with plenty of room and facilities to cater for all family needs. We will spend most nights in Tripoli, but with a couple of nights in Nafplio too, so that we can really take time to enjoy the beach life there.
Activities on this trip include many different watersports from wind suring to sea biking, as well as gorge walking, cycling, white water rafting in the Lousios River, sea kayaking around Kalamata as well as exploring some ancient archaeological sites. Although you have a free day to see these too, with the likes of Olympia, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nemea and Sparta all within an easy distance, as the Peloponnese is the heart of the ancient world.
The main towns that we spend time in, Nafplio, Kalamata and Tripoli, are also part of this ancient history. Tripoli was the ancient capital during Ottoman times, and still retains a lot of traditional character having avoided the negative impacts of mass tourism. Similarly, Nafplio with its renowned Palamidi Fortress has preserved its natural and cultural heritage, and Kalamata, most famous for its olive oil, is quite simply one of the most stunning coastal locations on the Peloponnese.
Please note: Although this is an itinerary for a small group tour, we can create a tailor made one for you if you have a family group of minimum five people, and work around your budget, interests and duration of stay. Just get in touch!

This was a great holiday...Great guides for the overall trip especially Mike and also the river rafting and kayaking. Read full reviewReviewed on 09 Aug 2013 by Julie Dickerson
It was lovely and authentic, not mobbed with foreign tourists, we felt we got to meet local people in their setting. Fabulous part of Greece with so much to see and do. Tripoli is not a tourist destination, which was nice in some ways but we stayed there a little long, the hotel could do with a pool, could be nice to also have a couple of nights elsewhere. Fantastic holiday. Will certainly go there again. We spend the following week in Creta and enjoyed beaches and diving. Will have to there again to see other Greek wonders, including vineyard and olives trees. Read full reviewReviewed on 29 May 2012 by John Hird
Excellent. The whole holiday was very well organized, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the level of the activities was perfectly balanced for the family, and we were happily occupied from beginning to end. The holiday was over much too quickly! Read full reviewResponsible Travel

All the activities included in this trip are environmentally friendly. We prefer using the power of the wind and the power of the water rather the power of gas and thats why we dont offer activities like jeeps or jet-skis.We are also owners of the small city hotel that you will stay during your holidays here where we recycle paper, glass, plastic and metal. At your arrival here you will be given a Travellers Code of Conduct, where you will get informed about how to apply maximum responsibility during your holidays concerning environmental and socio cultural factors.

Choosing our holidays, you choose responsible holidays. As Mr Panagiotopoulos, founder and president of our company, was born and raised here, one of his biggest concerns is to secure that tourism will not affect negatively our area in ecological and socio cultural ways, and that the locals will benefit most from your travel. Our company - which is the organizer and operator of this package - is local-based and all our guides, drivers, activity specialists and employees are locals too, ensuring not only the economical benefit of our area but also your cultural benefit. On this trip, you will visit so many different places and you will always be surrounded by locals, experiencing the Greek way of living. But what is most important for us, is that your presence here gives us a strong negotiation card for forcing the local authorities for the development of our area, such us constructing cycling streets in our city or finance and organize better our archaeological museums and sites.
