Corfu holiday highlights

Activity holidays on Corfu

This magnificent island is large enough for involved exploration, and this is where our activity holidays come in. Our walking holidays might involve walking a section of the long-distance Corfu Trail, or simply walking from beach to beach, whilst our kayaking trips do the same, swapping donkey tracks for the open water. Speaking of open water, our swimming holidays on Corfu seek out the quietest, calmest waters, and give you a chance to enjoy twice daily relaxed swimming, the chance to socialise with other keen swimmers, plus optional tuition and advice from expert coaches.

Relaxing holidays on Corfu

Our calm Corfu holidays suit families, friends, couples and solo travellers – so everyone can experience relaxation on this magical island. You might enjoy twice daily yoga at a retreat on the waterside, or peaceful birdwatching moments walking in inland valleys. There are some 115 beaches on the island and the water temperature in the summer is perfect for swimming or simply floating about with your family: when the sea is this blue, it’s rude not to.

Family holidays on Corfu

Ever since the Durrells made Corfu their home in the 1930s, Gerald Durrell captivating readers with his delightful account, My Family and Other Animals, British families have known about the appeal of this island. The Durrells stayed in a seaside house; you can take your pick of villas, self catering accommodation and beach cottages all over the island. On our family holidays in Corfu, stay in characterful accommodation, hosted by people who are part of the surrounding villages, and who work to ensure that your stay allows you to enjoy the community, whilst contributing financially to rural life – such as through purchasing local ingredients, and supporting local crafts.

Walking the Corfu Trail

The Corfu Trail connects some of the best walking routes on the island into one long north to south odyssey, but you don’t need to walk the whole thing to enjoy the island’s well-marked and well-maintained footpath system, taking you down mule tracks, through shady olive groves, and along coastal paths. Our walking holidays allow you to enjoy the island in your own time, under your own steam, and work up an appetite for the delicious Greek dishes: big bowls of skordalia, heaps of souvlaki and chips – all served in charming locally-run tavernas along the way.

Five stars. I would love to do a trip like this again. The group gelled very quickly, the guides were great and as well as getting in some fun swims my technique improved a little too.read more

Our evening yoga sessions on the beach bar rooftop were so special, gently moving with the sound backdrop of waves lapping the shore. Then watching the beautiful sunsets before returning for a fantastic evening meal and conversations at the hotel that has fantastic views across the bay. Those memories will stay with me. read more
