Description of Central Croatia luxury cruise from Split

This Croatia luxury cruise, on board a small luxury boat that sleeps maximum 40 passengers, starts and ends in Split and takes you along the stunning coast of Central Croatia. As well as exploring the islands of Hvar and Vis, we also drop anchor off the mainland towns of Zadar and Sibenik, as well as Split itself, of course, giving you plenty of time to explore this coast’s cultural heritage - either by day to visit the sites, or by night to enjoy the vibrant café, bar and restaurant scene.

We cruise for several hours each day, exploring different coves and bays for swimming and snorkelling, or just chilling out on deck, as our boats are more like floating boutique hotels really, designed for you to relax in style. All cabins are ensuite with air conditioning, with both doubles and twin cabins available. For meals onboard, enjoy wonderful Croatian cuisine as all meals are prepared using local ingredients cooked and served traditionally with a modern flare. And Croatian wine too, of course.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

We can book this trip for you via train so you do not need to take a single flight. Please see above for details.

The food and wine served on board is almost 100% locally produced, supporting many small producers, keeping food miles to a minimum and helping to maintain the traditional small scale farming and fishing that the coast and islands depend on

The company that operate this vessel is dedicated to sustainable tourism and is passionate about raising awareness of environmental, economic and sustainable tourism policies in Croatia which has resulted in the creation of Green Sail. They believe the promotion of environmental awareness in the region will have a prolonged and positive impact on the livelihoods of the local people and maintain Croatia as a sustainable tourism destination for future generations. They run an annual beach clean cruise which also includes workshops about sustainable tourism.

Small ship cruises in Croatia help reduce the increasing pressure to build new hotels in this popular destination by providing a range of sympathetic bed space when and where it is needed. These vessel are like moveable boutique hotels and by moving from port to port they also take the pressure of the road system in some overcrowded towns and cities.

Solid and liquid waste is all taken ashore for disposal, and these modern vessels have new engines which use less fuel and give off less emissions than older vessels.

People

Vast floating blocks of flats, otherwise known as cruise ships, arrive direct from Venice and spill their loads onto the Dubrovnik dock where they are met by a huge fleet of buses that whisk them for a couple of hours in the beautiful city. These monoliths cruise past one of Europe's most beautiful coastlines with barely a second glance, and without a thought to the places they are missing.

Our vessel, on the other hand, stops at many small islands ports and towns where we can fully enjoy some of the very best that Croatia has to offer. The money that we will spend in many of these smaller communities will help to preserve the fantastic heritage of these antique coastline.

By leaving our guests free to choose their own dining venues in the evenings, this ensures that a range of small restaurants and cafes will benefit from our guests spending.

Our vessels are captained and crewed by Croatians.
