Our luxury cruises
Our luxury cruise holidays have many different forms, and offer many different takes on luxury. Threading your way through the islands off Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, for instance, you might sleep in a well-appointed cabin with its own balcony. But on a Turkish gullet on the Turquoise Coast, luxury might mean sleeping on deck, beneath the stars.
Luxury can mean charting new courses through familiar destinations like the Galapagos Islands or Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, or expanding horizons on expedition-style vessels to more remote corners of the world, connecting you with communities that typically see very few tourists. Above all, cruising lets you slow things down and immerse yourself thoroughly in the cultures of the places you’re visiting, and the natural world. Losing track of time for a while and not caring a jot about it – maybe that’s the greatest luxury of all.

Highlights of our luxury cruise holidays
Croatia
Croatia is among our top destinations for luxury cruise holidays, with a wide range of superior vessels exploring this stunning coastline and the islands strung along it like pearls on a necklace. We typically use smaller ships, carrying just 40 or so passengers. They can access harbours and bays that the huge ‘floating hotels’ often found in these waters cannot, and adopt more flexible schedules, allowing them to quickly haul anchor and move on should one place get too crowded. That means fewer crowds in over-popular locations, and a more relaxed experience for you. Not that you won’t already be relaxed, with a stylish sun deck and swimming platform at your disposal.
All the trimmings
On our luxury cruises you can expect a higher grade of vessel. In popular destinations like Croatia or the Greek islands that will often mean modern, stylish and comfortable ships. You can expect spacious cabins, panoramic viewing lounges, high-end cuisine and perhaps kayaks or SUPs to borrow. In more remote parts of the world such as Melanesia or French Polynesia the onboard amenities may be a little more basic, but still perfectly comfortable. The luxury here comes from the shoreside cultural experiences and escaping the crowds. Another common feature of our luxury cruise holidays is a higher crew to passenger ratio, ensuring you’re never waiting long to get a question answered, or a drink refilled.
Extra-special experiences
What truly differentiates our luxury cruise tours is less about life onboard ship, and more the kind of experiences you’ll enjoy while ashore. If you’re picturing yourself following an umbrella-wielding guide around city streets, think again. Cruising Indonesian islands you might walk jungle trails with expert botanists and birders. In Japan you might join a pottery lesson at an artisan’s workshop. On Croatia’s Peljesac Peninsula you could be invited to a local farm for a feast of traditional cuisine using ingredients from their own fields and pastures. These are the memories that will stay with you, not the shower pressure in your cabin.
Getting off the beaten track
Luxury means different things to different people, and on some of our cruises, it can be as simple as finding some space. Our luxury cruise holidays can take you to less-visited destinations, such as Melanesia, Madagascar, or Cape Verde. Others put new spins on familiar places, capable of reaching more far-flung reaches of the Galapagos Islands or Indonesia and venturing into snugger harbours. This also means your holiday is helping to spread the economic benefits of tourism further, and relieving pressure on communities that can often feel crushed under the weight of cruise crowds.

The cruise was wonderful. One of the reasons I chose was that it was part cargo ship / part passenger. Crew were all lovely, they couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. And the same all the islands we visited. Even at the craft stalls it never felt as though they were just after our money!read more

The whole trip was exciting - visiting so many smaller, interesting places. The most memorable was the very sobering visit to Hiroshima. Fabulous in every way - could not fault anything! Thanks to the wonderful staff.read more
