Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTION
1. Human-powered transport in the form of walking/hiking is a significant part of the trip. The tour plan includes hiking activities on each of the first nine days, taking participants through various terrains.
2. By partnering with eco-conscious hotels, we ensure that our tour participants stay in establishments that actively contribute to sustainable practices. These accommodations may utilize renewable energy sources such as solar power, or other eco-friendly alternatives to minimize their environmental impact. By choosing these environmentally responsible accommodations, we aim to promote sustainable tourism and support businesses that align with our commitment to protecting the environment.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
1. We promote a "Leave No Trace" approach, encouraging travelers to minimize waste generation during the trip. In addition to encouraging travelers to bring reusable water bottles, we also advocate for reducing single-use plastics throughout the trip.
2. We educate travelers about the importance of respecting wildlife and natural habitats. We encourage them to observe wildlife from a safe distance and avoid any actions that may disturb or harm the animals or their environment.

LOCAL ECONOMY
1. Our tour guide is a local expert who possesses in-depth knowledge of the region's history, culture, and natural landmarks. Our itinerary includes visits to remote villages in different regions of Armenia (Lori, Tavush). These visits provide an opportunity for travelers to interact with local communities, learn about their way of life, and engage in cultural exchanges. We prioritize responsible tourism practices, ensuring that the economic benefits directly reach the villages and their inhabitants.
2. In this trip, all four hotels, both in Yerevan and the regions, are locally owned. We prioritize partnering with locally-owned accommodations to support the local economy and foster a more authentic travel experience for our guests. By staying in locally-owned hotels, our tour participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, interact with the friendly hosts, and contribute directly to the livelihood of the communities they visit.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY, AND DIVERSITY
1. When it comes to traveling, we believe in showing respect to all cultures and nations, while upholding human rights. We strive to provide our travelers with important information about local traditions to avoid any misunderstandings. Our goal is to foster a friendly, thoughtful, and respectful community for all.
