Planet
CARBON REDUCTIONReduced flights: The itinerary includes a domestic flight from Istanbul to Izmir, and return flight from Bodrum to Istanbul. However, most of the transportation during the tour happens on a yacht, or by van limiting flying.
Accommodation and renewable energy: The accommodation in Istanbul and Bodrum are traditional, locally-owned establishments. The details on the usage of renewable energy aren't available, however, traditionally these establishments have a smaller carbon footprint.
Shared local transport: The yacht voyage functions as a shared local transport, reducing CO2 per person for the duration of the cruise.
Human-powered transport: While we don't have specific days dedicated to human-powered transport, the nature of the trip encourages exploration on foot in Istanbul, Ephesus and local villages.
Our company strives to regenerate the planet for future generations by donating 1% of each trip to various sustainability causes.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Environmental policies: Local and traditional establishments generally have less impact on the environment.
Nature restoration: The trip indirectly contributes to nature restoration through entry fees in Ephesus and other historic sites.
Protected Areas: The trip includes visit to protected archaeological zones like Ephesus, indirectly contributing to its conservation.
