The views are stunning. The accommodation (both in the mountains and in Marrakech) is great. The food is terrific - the best tagine that we had was cooked 'on the hoof' by Ibrahim during our trek back to the Kasbah. The people that we met in the mountains were, without exception, friendly. Everything was superbly organised and presented. (more)Paul Watling
Trekking through the Atlas Mountains was the highlight. Excellent. Great staff and lovely accommodation exactly as described on the information. (more)Liz Alun-Jones
The views from the trekking were my favourite part and settling down after a hard days trek to a nice comforting meal and relax. (more)Craig Perry
Memorable parts?
The whole trip was memorable and exciting. We experienced the Sahara in all it's glory, the majestic High Atlas, gorges, high mountain passes and tiny villages where the local people live and work in the fields as they have done for centuries. The itinerary was full of highlights. The time spent in the desert was particularly memorable. Most tours take you to the edge of the Sahara late in the day so you can 'overnight' there and then you are taken back to 'civilisation'... (more)Marilyn Wane
All scenery was superb, summit days being special and rewarding. But the memorable part will be the excellency of our guide Mohammed and his team, and the contact with the Berber way of life. (more)Otto Pereira
The most memorable part of our holiday was walking through the villages and the contact with Barber people. The scenery was also fantastic.
(more)Anna Boddy
The most memorable part of the holiday was climbing up to Mount Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa at 9.30am as the sun rose and having spectacular views for miles of the plains of Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains in all directions. (more)Amanda Dudman
We saw some fascinating historic sites, and some wonderful scenery. (more)Harriet Truscott
The most memorable part of this holiday was going off the beaten track. The amazing tour guide Jerry who is a credit to the tour operator (more)sharon kalsy
The most memorable part of the holiday was the camel ride into & out of the desert - not knowing whether I would survive the lurches down over the top of the dunes! (more)Kathleen Culliton
What I enjoyed most was being in a beautiful place and for a brief few days feeling a little like we belonged because the guest house and the local community feel seamlessly integrated. (more)Lucy Roberts
Excellent. Both the douar and riad are wonderful places to stay. We were looked after and the food deserves a special mention. The arrival in the evening to discover our candle lit room was magical. (more)evin dilber
We had the most wonderful time at this accommodation, and the trekking was awesome. The hotel food is grown on site and cooked deliciously! (more)Martin Ross
The best bit was climbing a sand dune after a camel trek to our camp for the night...Excellent. No criticisms whatsoever. (more)Roddy MacLeod
Great trip for anyone looking for a variety of experiences - desert, mountains, city - packed into a week. The camel trip was a memorable experience, as was glamping in the desert and star-gazing. (more)Kate Charles
Walking in the Atlas in general was terrific with the beautiful scenery. Sleeping outside under the stars was also amazing... Second to none! (more)Jennifer Baker Dallison
Memorable parts?
The Atlas Mountains - stunning
Tips?
Do some training for it. It's worth it.
Local benefits?
Yes.
Overall rating?
10 out of 10 and exceeded my expectations in so many ways. (more)Jason Lawrence
The overall challenge of climbing to the summit was wonderful. Waking in the mountains every morning and spending a few hours happily hiking whilst
enjoying the fresh mountain air and the views was just perfect. I loved it. An experience of a lifetime. I loved it all, and the group dynamic was so supportive and friendly. (more)Anita Howard
Fabulous holiday. I achieved my goal of climbing Mount Toubkal (with a bit of help from the guide/porters), met some lovely people (now new friends), learnt
a lot about the Moroccan culture and the Atlas Mountains, and saw some spectacular scenery. (more)Pam Harris
An amazing experience especially with teenagers. Incredible diversity, beautiful scenery, warm people and stunning arts and crafts. (more)Belinda Honey
Camping at Erg Chigaga dunes was the most memorable part... Excellent trip. Will definitely be visiting the beautiful country again. (more)Priti Chikhal
We started out in Marrakech, and travelled to the Atlas Mountains for 2 nights at the beautiful L'Oliveraie de Maghira: lovely grounds and pools, indigenous tortoises, and resident flamboyant chef. Really family-friendly place, voted by the children as their favourite hotel. (more)Eleanor Jones
The most memorable part of the holiday was the stars at night - no light pollution. Having lunch on the highest peak thanks to our trust mule, Kasha. (more)Catherine Evan-Jones
The mountains were superb! Haven't ever seen anything like them before. (more)Jayne Griffith
The most memorable parts of the holiday were tea with Fatima, great group atmosphere, wonderful scenery, simply just getting away from it all!

Memorable parts?
Driving through the stunning Atlas Mountains
Tips?
Definitely book riads in the medinas to get a more authentic experience of Morocco
Local benefits?
Yes we stayed in local riads, helping to support the traditional communities rather then global hotel chains

Memorable parts?
Leaving in the early morning from the refuge in the dark to climb Mount Toubkal. Walking in a line with headlamps we crossed a small creek and climbed a
steep rise to see the early morning sky and the peak.
Tips?
Bring a sleeping bag, good hiking shoes and cards. If you want to reduce plastic waste bring a water purifier (pump or ultraviolet light).
Local benefits?
The holiday provided employment to local guides, mule drivers, cooks and hostel staff. From... (more)Lorne Beiles
Memorable parts?
Reaching the summit of Mt Toubkal after leaving the base camp in the dark. By the top the sun was shining, the sky was blue with the snow glistening. The views and sense of achievement made the hard climb well worth it!
Tips?
If doing it in winter has a thermal tube for your water bladder as the tube freezes!
Local benefits?
We used local porters and mule riders and bought things from local co-operative shops so helped the community.

This was our first visit to Morocco so all of it was memorable - new experiences, sights, sounds and tastes. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff at the Kasbah du Toubkal and at the Riad des Yeux Bleus... (more)Amanda and Niall Briggs
We absolutely loved our stay in The Kasbah at Imlil. The staff, accommodation, setting, food and atmosphere was fabulous. We had 2 days of glorious walking with incredibly informative and entertaining Berber guides who all spoke an impressive number of languages. (more)Philippa Charteris
Waking up and looking out over our balcony at Mount Toubkal was the most memorable. Excellent - a really nice mix of the Atlas mountains and Marrakech. (more)James Morison
Memorable parts?
Train journey accross Morocco, visit to Volubilis Roman ruins, lunch with Berber family in Ouirgane.
Tips?
Don't eat the salad. Do not bother with a guide in Fez; they are simply taking you on a heavily overpriced shopping trip. The Lonely Planet Guide is excellent, spot on in all instances for food, DIY tours and really good maps. Do your shopping in Marrakesh airport on the way home; they sell all the same stuff at the same prices. Take earplugs (5.30 muezzin every... (more)Emily Lusty
Experiencing outstanding natural beauty with welcoming proud local people. The freshly prepared local food was wonderful. Friendly like minded fellow travellers. (more)Simon Lupini
Absolutely brilliant...The hospitality and friendliness of the staff at Kasbah du Toukbal. The stunning views from the dining room. The amazing lunches high on the mountains and relaxing on a mattress after lunch before continuing the trek. Great guide and a schedule tailored completely to our needs. We were looked after so well. (more)James Osborn
Excellent -- would thoroughly recommend it! (more)Faizullah Parkar
The most memorable moment was waking to snow, walking in snow, seeing the beautiful effect of snow in the valley. (more)Margaret Patterson
Trekking in the Atlas Mountains was the highlight but it was all fantastic. Excellent from start to finish. (more)Martin Bradshaw
It was excellent from start to finish! Really well organised. Food fantastic....healthy and fresh. I really don't know how they did it! (more)Jan Gardner
There were lots of memorable moments - Sleeping in the Sahara. Scenery. The graciousness of the people. (more)Nancy Harrington
excellent (more)Alice Leftley
Most memorable part? There were many: the hike up towards Jebel Toubkal; the old medina in Fez; the call to prayer of the muezzin; stepping into the intricate interiors hidden behind the facades...

Memorable parts?
It was gorgeous to be in the Atlas Mountains and witness daily life in the area.
Staying in Riad gave us the opportunity to meet local residents and to understand the customs of the Berber people. It was amazing to see all
the men going up a nearby hill to pray, marking the end of Ramadan. The food
was real Moroccan home cooking and full board was available.
Tips?
At times, the roads can be difficult but if you take your time, it's fine. We hired
an SUV. ... (more)Owen O'neill
