Memorable parts? Every day with new discoveries of Costa Rica, beautiful cycling experience, local tour leader Memo and his fantastic crew member Luís and Ronald, and variety of holiday experience in two weeks made this holiday the best I've ever been. Tips? Be prepared for rice and beans three times a day for two weeks ;) Local benefits? Yes, absolutely, in all the trips (including optional) I felt that local people were supported in their business, be it a local restaurant... (more)Agne Bajoriniene

Roberto the leader and the 'bike boys' were great. Very helpful and so well organised, meals, room keys, boats, all appeared exactly on cue. (more)Martin Wolverson

Memorable parts? The whole trip was memorable... Tuscany is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. I think the most exciting part of the trip was when we were biking to Pisa and got our first glimpse of the leaning tower. It was so surreal! Tips? The Tuscany route offered is pretty challenging. When we booked this trip was described as light to moderate in difficulty however after finishing the tour and talking to the tour operator we were told it was one of the hardest... Memorable parts? My wife and I went on this trip with our 17 year-old son. Even as seasoned travellers to India, we would never have been able to do this trip on our own because this part of central India really doesn't have much tourist/traveller infrastructure. Cycling from village to village was absolutely fantastic. Our wonderful guide, Saurabh, based in Raipur, was not only brilliantly organised and wonderfully knowledgeable about wildlife, architure, people, plants, birds, customs etc.... (more)Jonathan Drori

Memorable parts? Two things: Seeing the Naadam festival. The friendliness and competence of the local staff - two drivers and two cooks. They will remain in my affections forever. Tips? Take a lavalava. It makes an emergency tent when the hot sun is beating down on your head, it can be a towel, a bathrobe, a shoulder covering for temples, a modesty screen when having a public pee stop. Never travel without your lavalava. Local benefits? I couldn't say. I sought out a fair... (more)Monica Holland

Memorable parts? Walking from Correggia to Locorotondo, which turned out to be about 15 miles, we loved being in the countryside and seeing the trullis, flowers, olive groves and local people. Also the city of Matera, Ostuni and realizing how long this area has been occupied by homo sapiens. Tips? If doing a self guided tour, be sure that you have traveled a lot on your own. Memorable parts? No one particular part because the whole holiday was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The cycling guide, Pedro, and the back-up transport driver, Jaoao, could not have been more enthusiastic or attentive to ensure that we all enjoyed the holiday to the full: which we all did. Memorable parts? Cycling through villages and countryside in central Vietnam. Tips? Take ear plugs for the overnight train, the sound of the rails may keep you awake; and a proper waterproof as when it rains it pours. Local benefits? Memorable parts? The best part for me was the rides around Inle Lake; really peaceful and interesting riding and the lake a source of life for so much. Great bikes and great group all added to the experience. Tips? Just take quick dry clothes and several pairs of shoes/rubber ones help. Local benefits? Yes... (more)Justine henwood

Memorable parts? The cycling Tips? Bring clothes for all weathers. We had one day when we needed sunscreen and a hat, and the next it was freezing rain. It's not a tremendously demanding ride, but you do need to be able to ride 30 miles a day and climb a hill or two. Local benefits? We did spend money in local cafes and retaurants, and biking's definitely better than car or coach. I would have liked to see fewer disposable cups and other items in the hotels though. Overall...
