Memorable parts?
There were many memorable bits. Watching the turtles return to sea while the sun was rising, sledging down the dunes with my children, swimming in the Wadi's. Not sure I can choose only one.
Tips?
Don't try and squeeze too much into it. There are some lovely hotels and locations but we often found ourselves arriving just at or after sunset and leaving early the next morning.

There are too many to mention but overall the trip was wonderful. We had an outstanding time and would return to Oman in a heartbeat.
Tips?
While we loved seeing the countryside, we dislike riding in a car for more than 2 hours at a time in the space of a day. The distances weren't that long and of course were necessary to cover in order to see the sites.

Tips?
Distances are long in Muscat so make sure you book a hotel with a convenient location. We made a tailor-made contract with the operator. However, the tour was subcontracted to a local travel agent - not ideal when problems arise! Often there was a miss-match between given itinerary and actual plan, not that we missed anything but somehow annoying. Book your holiday directly and you are in control!
