This eight-day Montenegro active holiday is tailor made so you can discover this wonderful country at your own pace. Our suggested circuit takes in lakes and mountains, pretty villages and the country’s atmospheric ancient capital, with a range of included and optional outdoor experiences, from hiking and kayaking to boat cruises and guided walking tours.
You will travel from the capital Podgorica to the north, to discover the canyons, rivers and mountains around Durmitor National Park, and then return south to enjoy Lake Skadar and the villages, monasteries and fertile landscapes here. With lots of optional activities available, you can be as active as you like, and throughout this week’s break you’ll stay in friendly homestays and guesthouses, sampling superbly fresh local food and enjoying a true Montenegrin welcome. This is a wonderful trip, perfect if you’re travelling with family, friends or your partner.

Skadar Lake is a National Park so your visit and Park fees will help sustain the facilities and provide ongoing protection for this area. Also visit to Piva Regional Park of nature improves the living conditions for people in the area who are very dependant on the rafting season.
Accommodation is in local homestays of the central part and in the north when available or guest house selected for its high eco-rating and excellent valid corporate social responsibility policy. Accommodation providers are given support and advice from our staff on all aspects of providing excellent facilities and services in line with the principals of sustainability. All service providers are encouraged and educated by ourselves to promote the “Reduce, Recycle, Re-use” principals of waste management.
