Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

We have an ecological vegetable and herb garden for our guests to pick and prepare their own meals with and we support local ecologically run farms.
In the 22 years of living here we have adopted many straydogs and cats that we are giving a loving home and they have become the greatest friends of our guests. Especially the dogs are much appreciated as they are the perfect guides for our walking guests as they know the area very well.
We are careful to minimise the use of plastics and recycle them when used. After heavy rainfalls we have taken it as our responsibilty to clean the adjacent river from all the waste that has come its way, sadly this is a yearly event. We also separate glass, paper and plastic in several bins at our own establishment before we bring this personally to the closest garbage collections point 1 km further away.
The Impacts of this Trip
In the walking week we promote we have chosen local restaurants that use most of their products from own produce and who prepare great food with traditional recipes.
We use local partners, for example a local taxidriver to do all the transport for our clients. We have also given employment to Jose Maria & Felisa from our local village. They both have official working contracts and have worked here for over 14 years. They are considered family.
We promote the ecological farm business of the Family Eiriz in Corteconcepcion where guests can take a guided tour as the ecological Monte Robledo cheese farm in Aracena for a cheese making event.
All our guests receive a local bottle of red wine from El Condado de Huelva upon arrival and this is much appreciated.
We support the local restaurants by advising our guests about all the possibilities in the village and have made a special map made for them and advise about all kinds of attractions that are going on.
