The Serengeti is the world’s greatest wildlife stage, with no prologue necessary, because here you go straight to the drama.
Tanzania plays host to some of Africa's most iconic sights: the plains of the Serengeti and the Wildebeest Migration.

CARBON REDUCTIONSustainable Lodges & Camps
Stay in a collection of outstanding sustainable lodges and camps each boasting state-of-the-art technology, including new generation solar heating and electricity, as well as the latest practices in rainwater collection and borehole use for water consumption.
Olduvai Camp, Ngorongoro Crater, is entirely powered by solar energy, with hot water provided by solar heating systems and rainwater covers up to 50 % of the annual water consumption.
Gumeti Hill Lodge, Serengeti, is entirely solar powered, using new generation technology for the electricity and rainwater to cover 50% of annual water consumption, whilst the rest is fetched from a borehole.
Togoro Plains Lodge, Serengeti North, is powered entirely by solar electricity and operates a plastic-free policy.
The Bashay Rift Lodge, Karatu, has its own farm, which provides everything from tea and coffee to honey and fresh vegetables.
A visit to Gibb's farm also provides an organic farm-to-table lunch stop.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
This group tour offers departures in the low and shoulder seasons. The different seasons offer different wildlife viewing and experiences, but also allow the opportunity to experience the national parks in less-visited times.
We spend time in the less-visited Tarangire National Park. Covering an area of some 2,600 square kilometres, in spite of its vast array of wildlife, it sits slightly apart from the more popular northern safari circuit, affording us a more authentic and less crowded experience.
During our stay at Arumeru River Lodge in Arusha, we will enjoy a guided walk in the nearby rainforest, with 50% of the tour fee paying for rainforest rangers in an effort to stop the deforestation of the area. There is also the opportunity to get involved and help plant indigenous tree seedlings as a part of a tree planting project.
People
LOCAL ECONOMYMany of the places we visit and stay on this tour, in turn support their surrounding communities and local initiatives.
Olduvai Camp directly benefits our Maasai hosts, who here on their ancestral lands and continue their traditional way of life.
A visit to Gibb's farm supports helps support the community initiatives the farm is involved with. Through personal relationships, cultural programs and conservation efforts, the farm helps to preserve the history, stories, artwork, medicine and ways of life of the Iraqw and Maasai as well as the surrounding natural environment.
Including departure dates within the low and shoulder seasons also helps to provide a year round income for our hosts.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Local hosts, guides and drivers are employed throughout the trip, offering not only employment opportunities but a wealth of knowledge of their regions and country. This includes Maasai host and guides, canoeing guides, wildlife department rangers and safari guides and drivers.
A donation of £10 is made on behalf of every traveller to our foundation, which supports education and community empowerment projects worldwide.
