To achieve this, we partner with a boutique team on the ground in Chile that has championed responsible tourism since 1994 and shares our values.

Boutique and eco-conscious hotels that implement sustainable practices have chosen throughout. For example, stays at Mallín Colorado Ecolodge and Estancia Cerro Guido directly support sustainable operations, renewable energy use, and wildlife protection programs. At Cerro Guido, a portion of every stay directly supports the Cerro Guido Conservation Foundation, which leads extensive research aimed at fostering coexistence between livestock and wildlife, particularly the puma.

By visiting protected areas such as Cerro Castillo National Park, Patagonia National Park, and the Marble Caves, the entrance fees and visits help fund conservation efforts.

Nature-based experiences such as hiking, walking, horse-riding, are all low-impact ways to discover and enjoy Chile’s natural landscapes. Expert local guides enhance these experiences, providing insights into the fragile ecosystems visited, raising awareness of conservation challenges, and sharing practical tips on how to minimise impact.

Our local partners train local guides annually on safety protocols, service, destinations, and responsible travel, ensuring they are equipped to make a positive impact, share their passion and educate guests on the local customs and way of life.

Experiences are also carefully curated to provide authentic engagement. For example, In Chiloe, guests are welcomed into family homes, where sharing meals and traditions helps preserve rural lifestyles and provides direct income to local families. Estancia Cerro Guido invites its guests on a tour around its ranch offering authentic insight into the region’s heritage.

Properties are small boutique, locally run or family-owned hotels (Mallín Colorado Ecolodge, Cabañas del Lago Hotel, Palafito 1326 Hotel, Estancia Cerro Guido, Rugendas Boutique Hotel) to ensure we channel tourism revenue into the local economy. These hotels also employ local people, source regional products, and integrate indigenous design into guest experiences.
