They’ll have you heading out on new adventures every morning (but not super-early, you can reassure your teens), led by highly qualified instructors who keep everyone safe, challenged and entertained. While some trips offer the option of private apartments, in most cases you’ll be sharing a locally run guest house with other families, which makes for a very sociable atmosphere and helps your kids to easily make new friends.

Our safari holidays for families with teenagers create incredible memories and can also inspire a lifelong passion for conservation. Teens are also better able to tolerate long game drives and may take more of an interest in the cultural aspects of a safari too, from San rock art to walks with Maasai warriors. In Botswana, families might paddle downriver in a traditional canoe, then camp overnight on an island. In Namibia, your teens can race each other to the top of a dune for sunrise, then sandboard down it. When your kids are a bit older they’re more prepared to move about a bit on holiday, which makes the prospect of touring more appealing. In countries like Sri Lanka, Morocco and Thailand, our tours for families with teenagers travel for between a week and two, covering a lot of ground, and a lot of experiences as they go. Your kids can wander bustling night markets, ride camels out to Bedouin desert camps, spot elephant herds on the horizon, try rock climbing, and climb steep mountain roads in traditional tuk tuks. These tours create memories that last for years to come, and stories they’ll love to share.
