Description of Family sea kayaking holiday in Croatia
Families just love the island of Lopud, one of the best places for a sea kayaking holiday in Croatia. It is close to Dubrovnik, just three quarters of an hour by ferry. It is car free, meaning that not only is kayaking a wonderful way to get around but cycling is too, and it has only one small village to stay in, so you have plenty of time to get to know this rural community where families are welcomed with open arms.
This is a small group holiday, with guided sea kayaking by expert local paddlers. For water babies, it really is bliss, with plenty of swimming, snorkelling and all round water fun to be had, as well as kayaking journeys not in and around the coves of Lopud but also to the other stunning nearby Elaphite Islands of Kolocep and Sipan.
Based in a small locally owned guesthouse on Lopud, both breakfast and evening meals are in a local taverna, with lunches on beaches or other beauty spots, where siestas will be part of our day after a busy time on the water.

He adapted all activities and plans to suit our family, often changing things at short notice depending on the weather or simply on how we were feeling and what he thought would work best. Planet and peopleWe always employ local guides. Beside the fact that this kind of employment brings benefits to the local community, local guides are very familiar with the area and they know local people.
Our guides emphasize the importance of leaving the environment as it is. We observe marine life but we do not disturb it.
We direct our travelers to local private accommodation which enhances the visitors experience, since they get an opportunity to be welcomed by a local host and thus get better insight in everyday life of the local people on Croatian islands. Also, in this way our travelers are contributing to the local economy.
