Description of Vis Island activity holiday in Croatia
Vis Island, off the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, is an excellent base for an activity holiday, with clear seas, quiet beaches, unspoiled landscapes and a handful of tiny islands nearby hiding caves and secret restaurants. You won’t find many other tourists here, since Vis has limited capacity for visitors, and this makes it unique amongst Croatia’s islands, which can become very busy in summer. There are none of the trappings of mass tourism on Vis; no crowded beaches, heaving restaurants or nightclubs. Instead, Vis is the place for anyone in search of authentic Croatia, away from the busy Dalmatian coast.
This activity holiday is a week that works for all generations, and can be tailored to your interests. Enjoy simple pleasures like daily yoga, snorkelling, cycling and kayaking, and pack a book, too, so you can head to the beach and relax.
There is no fixed itinerary on this activity holiday; you can choose to do what you want, when you want. You might go cycling one day, take a boat trip to see the famous Blue Cave another day, and then opt to chill on the beach the day after that. We run two tours which you can choose to take, one exploring Vis’s military history via jeep and the other a tour in our speedboat, visiting some of the secret spots on the island that can only be reached by boat, including the Blue Cave on Biševo island and Stiniva beach. We offer – you decide!
There is yoga every morning for everyone, with an instructor to lead the session. We also include one rest day, so you’re completely free to use this as you please, perhaps picking an activity that’s outside of what we offer, like sailing, scuba diving or visiting some more remote islands, such as Brusnik, Svetac or Palagruža. All the activities are easy going and you can make this holiday as active as you want. There’s no need to be super sporty to enjoy this week. To guarantee your safety at all times, all the activities are guided by professional staff.
We want to make sure this week away is as relaxing as possible, from the minute you land at Split airport. We can arrange transfers from the airport to the ferry terminal and once you arrive on Vis, we take care of everything else.

Excellent - catered well for a mix of age groups & athletic abilities. Great way of seeing the island of Vis from 'local eyes'. But the best wait is not having to think about anything ... just trust Matko's recommendations. Read full reviewReviewed on 06 Oct 2019 by Cheri Takaki

We support wildlife in our community by donating 1% of each booking to Blue World - researching dolphin organization. We have more than 400 dolphins in the area around the island of Vis, and Blue world organization track them every day. It's almost impossible to spent a day at sea without seeing dolphins, especially in spring time when the sea traffic is quieter than in summer. It's quite an experience to see wild dolphins swim around you, and we are aware how much they mean for a marine life.We also plant our own vegetables in a completely "eco" way. Our vegetables don't contain a single drop of pesticide, just water and sun. In our vineyards it is the same situation, and the eco brand on every bottle is the evidence of hard work. Our guests are welcome to join in with watering and harvesting the grapes and vegetables every year, allowing them to see how we prepare this crop.
We organise cleaning of the beaches and underwater areas in our community. Since we are located on open sea, we have strong winter winds which brings us all sort of garbage. Every spring, volunteers are more than welcome to help us keep our beaches and underwater clean. Every year, with support of the town of Vis, we collect more than a 500 kilos of garbage in 5 different beaches in the Rukavac area. In this way, we help our island to stay clean on the land and underwater. Island Vis is one of the cleanest islands in middle Mediterranean area.

Ensuring rhe right promotion and learnig how other tourist buissines work on different continents make us comentent in our buissines.
Beside keeping island clean, we support "SVIMA" organization. In this community, kids from all over Croatia can learn about island history, old trades, how to preserve an ecologic on the island, they organize all sorts of workshops around the island and we provide them a free transportation on land or sea.
For us, working with kids is always special, especially when our mission is to return young people back on the island, and to provide them any sort of decent living in this part of paradise!
