Awesome experience and as a solo traveller I felt very looked after and included. (more)Helen Barker
The entire week at St. Jeannet was memorable! Loved each of Benoit's daily activities including his informative, detailed, and interesting commentaries! ... The area, the people, the beauty, the food, the relaxing pace (activities did not start before 10 AM... no jumping out of bed and rushing to catch a bus!)... (more)Catherine Burns
The excellent, friendly, informed guiding on the activity days. The pace was relaxed and enjoyable. Very enjoyable -friendly hosts, delightful area. (more)Susan Marris

Very well organised and very enjoyable.... The scenery was beautiful, except in the Camargue, and all the villages were very French and full of atmosphere. Cycling through the Montagnettes and Alpilles was lovely. (more)Trish Price
Successfully navigating our way in and out of beautiful little towns being enthusiastically helped with directions and suggestions for great things to see and do by locals even with our absolute lack of French. (more)Jennifer Wright

Memorable parts? Cycling up Mont Ventoux. Wow! Its tough, very tough, but worth the effort. Particularly nice to have a really fabulous hotel at the bottom to relax afterwards. Tips? Do try to make the initial meeting with the local rep. We didn't and there were a few issues - for example some of our dinner arrangements - that it would have been better to iron out before they became issues. We were a bit disappointed that we weren't warned in advance that the meeting with the local... (more)Jane Frank

Memorable parts? The view, the peace. Our hosts Will and Bea who are so helpful and informative and we mustn't forget the two dogs, Joey and Basho who were great company. Tips? If you are looking for noise and nightlife this is not for you. This is a place of beauty, tranquility and nature ( the butterflies were amazing and the cigales in full swing). There are a number of stairs from the car parking area to the place so if you have a severe mobility problem you may find it a little... (more)Christine Pavey

The views from the rooms are breath taking. The owners go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is as perfect as possible...A unique and restful experience which we hope to be able repeat one day. After only five nights we came home feeling recharged and with many fond memories. (more)Nick Medhurst
Best holiday ever... The tour of the old city of Nice and the trip to the village of Tourettes the St Jeannet winery and the cooking class with Corrine were truly memorable. (more)Vicki Wright
We stayed at the house for 4 nights with our teenage boys and we were so happy we did. Corinne and Benoit make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive...It was one of the highlights of our 3 weeks in France! Benoit does great excursions so highly recommend you go on his tours too! Memorable parts? The food throughout the stay, the choices of hikes (particularly the gorge and the mountain top), and the mix of people. Tips? Be in shape! Be prepared for challenging walks. Local benefits? We left no trace behind on our walks. Food was purchased locally. We visited local markets and went to two local restaurants. Overall rating? This experience exceeded our expectations. We had great food, great guides, interesting and challenging walks and a very... (more)Ken Margraf

Memorable parts? The scenery and the food. Tips? You do need to be semi fit! Local benefits? Local shops and cafes would have benefitted in the smaller, out of the way villages Overall rating? 4.5 stars. Only negative aspect was the hotel on the first and final night in Avignon, The Ibis, where the rooms were tiny, like being in a cabin and did make us worry about what was to follow! However, the other hotels were all fabulous but then we had to return to the Ibis... (more)Anne Morrice

Memorable parts? The Verdon gorges. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Tips? You have to be able to walk around 15 km a day, and climb up to 500 m a day. Note that the trip notes do not include getting to the starts of the walks. Some of the descents are a little slippy, because of loose stones. You need to be able to carry around 2 litres of water (it gets hot), and you have to buy your own food in the mornings, for picnic lunches. Local benefits? Yes, the guide is local, as are... Memorable parts? The great organisation that appeared effortless but I'm sure reflected much planning and forethought. Every day the walks were 'just right' for the weather, our legs and our mood without us having to think about it. The food was superb, varied and appeared as if by miracle in the right amounts at the perfect time. Tips? Do what preparation you can but don't worry as there are so many walks requiring so many different levels of fitness that you will love it regardless... (more)anne webb

Memorable parts? The best part about the holiday was being surrounded by beautiful countryside and easily accessible characteristic villages. Staying somewhere so authentic was magical. Tips? A car is useful for getting around although bikes would be great for the more adventurous. Explore all the local places and the local wines! Local benefits? We stayed at the old hospital which the owners have restored. It's a place steeped in history and therefore preserving this I'd... (more)Sophie Cox
