    Memorable parts? Fabulous scenery - every walk was different. Real sense of achievement when we climbed to the Doldenhornhutte. Tips? Proper boots and walking poles. Local benefits?     Memorable parts? The views of Mt Blanc were amazing, especially when taking the Cable Car to the very top of the Glaciers. For my wife, this was her first experience of a 'Chalet' holiday and she found the food and atmosphere wonderful. Tips? The terrain for the walks is very very rough (rocks). You really must have proper mountain walking boots. My high class 'Hokka' trail running shoes were completely 'finished' after the week. Local benefits? Hard to answer. Overall... (more)Michael Cooke

    Memorable parts? Having lunch under a tree in a flower-filled meadow at about 1500m, gazing at the sheer face of the Monch with its ribbon waterfalls cascading down. We'd met no one on the walk, the little chalet in the field was empty; all we could hear was birdsong and rippling water. Magical. Tips? 1 Buy a Swiss Card (before you book the train from Zurich to Interlaken!) and get reduced travel costs. We hadn't known about it and also didn't realise beforehand how much we would...
