Itinerary
| Day 1 | [Arrival day] From Split Ferry Port, take the ferry to Supetar on Brac island. Ferry tickets included. Our drivers will pick you up on Brac island. Once at our adventure base after a short drive, check-in and then meet the other families around the pool. This evening, we look forward to hosting you at the gala meal at a local authentic taverna. Welcome to Brac Island. It's time to slow down and enjoy island life! |
| Day 2 | [Sea kayaks & snorkelling] Family sea kayaking holidays in Croatia are a great for the whole family, as little experience is needed to feel the easy paddle rhythm. Our guides will take you to various points of interest around the coast, always making time for games and swimming in the beautiful Adriatic sea. |
| Day 3 | [Climbing] We can highly recommend our rope assisted rock climbing excursion. Based in a stunning area, our instructors await to show you the ropes (so to speak). It really does not matter if you are a complete novice or an experienced climber, there is something here for all abilities. |
| Day 4 | [Beach day or optional: canyoning tour] This is your free day, so enjoy your own island oasis. Close by to your accommodation, our families can rent jet skis, pedal boats or play on the Aquatic assault course (a firm teen favourite). Rent a bike, swim in the sea and play with the other guests. For active families wishing to book more, optional activities like canyoning & white water rafting can be booked. |
| Day 5 | [SUP boarding] Today we find ourselves in the stunning warm waters of the Adriatic Sea. This is a great way to experience Croatia’s lovely coastline. On the SUP boards we'll relax on the calm waters & play games. Kayaks available if preferred. |
| Day 6 | [Cycling] The inland villages and coastal tracks of Brac island are perfect for cycling excursions. The roads are quiet and very safe for families who don’t cycle that often. Discover pine forests, coastal paths and secluded swimming spots. When it all gets too hot, we’ll stop and swim! We have many cycle routes to offer for cycling holidays on Brac island. From easy hill descents to professional climbs to put harden riders to the test. |
| Day 7 | [Olive Tasting Session] Tonight we'll be going to a secret location for olive tasting & to try some amazing local Dalmatia cuisine. All organic and produced on Brac. There will be unlimited wine for parents. |
| Day 8 | [Departure day] Sadly it is time to say goodbye. We'll take you back to Supetar port, with ferry tickets included to return back to Split, where our services conclude. |
| Stay | Our 3 star apartments are ideally situated on Brac island, being close to the sea & beach. The local shops, cafes, cocktail bars, and restaurants are all 5 minutes stroll away. Our guests love walking along the village harbour, playing & eating ice cream, catching breath taking sunsets. 3 star apartments incl: free WiFi, shared swimming pool, air conditioning, balcony or terrace, flat-screen TVs, fully equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. Everything was memorable. Our self catering apartments conform with traditional rules of housing & construction on Brac Island, that wants to maintain its charm and antiquity. To build these apartments members of the local community are employed and all building processes and materials are as environmentally friendly as possible. The buildings are all as environmentally friendly as possible and all built in a sympathetic styling to the local surroundings.All apartments encourage waste management for sort and re-cycle. For all of the activities included in the program the guides take every measure to minimize the impact on the local environment. An example of this is during mountain biking tours our guides will always discuss the impact of our tour on the environment, and our guides will lead by example in collecting litter left by less well informed guests within our daily led groups. When visiting villages we always endeavour to arrive by foot, bike or kayak and encourage interaction between our guests and the local community to allow each to develop a deeper cultural understanding.
People
Our local partners are fully integrated into the local community. All our guides and staff are from the Dalmatia area or are from Brac island.To promote eco responsible tourism we try to keep to small sized groups, as we dont want to encourage over commercialism and overcrowding of these sensitive areas.
With small groups participating in carefully chosen locations, or biking & walking on established marked out trails, we can introduce & educate our clients to this spectacular area without compromising the environment and the finely balanced eco system of Brac island.
We always ensure that we work with local suppliers and accommodation wherever possible. This means that our clients get to meet the local people and gain fantastic authentic experiences from them. Our active holidays are focused on contributing to the local economy and too minimize the environmental impact.
When car or van transportation is used we use local drivers, often in owner private operated vehicles, which brings work to people who may otherwise be under or unemployed in the community.
