The New Year's Eve dinner at Buena Vista Social Club was an expensive highlight that was not included in the tour.
Exciting parts were feeling as if we were on a movie set as the Old Cars cruised the street of the Malecon, The time warp that gripped Cuba. The decaying splendour of a bygone era and the gentle warm people who inhabited this island.
Tips?

Memorable parts?
A truly unique place, loved seeing parts of the country we would not have seen if we weren't cycling. My most memorable day was cycling to the Eco village then a well deserved swim in a beautiful river with rock and waterfalls followed by a beautiful sunset... beautiful.
Tips?
Always have tissue in your bag, toilet facilities are not great, but don't let that put you off.

The most memorable part of the holiday was actually landing in Havana and being easily and promptly identified by our greeter/driver. Our exhilaration at being in Cuba and lack of anxiety about the “next step” after getting luggage put us in an immediate mode of relaxation and safe-being.

It was great to experience more activities and learn more from Cubans that would one could do with just a guide book. First and foremost would have to be our group of people that we were with to see this beautiful island. Also Mickel, so informative & a great caring new friend. After being able to travel this beautiful planet over the years, Cuba is a beautiful, peaceful, wonderful place to see. The country side, the food, the music & the beautiful people.

Not to have a high expectation of the food. If driving get a good road map or download some maps. I managed to download an App that did actually give me my location which was helpful when getting back into Havana

It was extremely varied always interesting. The tour guide was exemplary... The selected itinerary gave a varied look at central and west Cuba. I found it well paced and fascinating. Well done to the tour operator.

Memorable parts?
The most memorable aspect of our holiday was the devastating effect on Cuba of 60 years of sanctions and 'socialism'. The country is about to welcome large number of tourists and it is not ready. Havana international airport is chaotic: on our last day it had run out of water so the toilets weren't flushing, run out of sterling so we had to accept euros, and possibly ran out of electricity as the air con was off.

We enjoyed all the places we went to but...
We loved Havana - it's a vibrant place with live music on every street corner and in every bar. Wandering around the streets in old Havana both during the
day and in the evening was great and there is lots to see -lovely squares, colonial buildings, palaces, museums, cathedral, harbour plenty of old American
cars........ It was good just to find a cafe or bar and watch the world go by.
